New Books 2013

Books With Beat!! Teen Read Week Oct. 18-22

Teens have more activities to fill their free time than ever — web videos, social networking sites, video games, afterschool activities, athletics —and increasingly high expectations in the classroom.   So come on into the library where reading is something that’s fun and relaxing that you can do for free.

Clear Creek High School will be celebrating Books with Beat @ your Library for Teen Read Week! This year’s theme, Books with Beat @ your library®, encourages teens to read a variety of materials, including poetry, audiobooks, books about music, and more.  Due to testing in the library this week, CCHS Library will celebrate Teen Read Week beginning the week of  Oct. 25-29.  Such activities include Wii games available during lunches.

MAD SCIENTISTS

"RIP" through the library for a cryptic encounter!
Mrs. Christiansen's Chemistry Classes are currently studying Atomic Theory.   Students were to have reseached a specific scientists and create a tombstone for the scientist.  It was a different way to cover the information and  give her VPA students a chance to shine.  Students are presenting their tombstones in class and then taking a field trip to the cemetery.
