Toshiba hosts E-Waste Recycle Day, where people can drop off their unwanted electronics, including televisions, VCRs, DVD players, computer monitors, printers and more. Staff will unload your car at the North Eldridge entrance.

The Astros will give away a green Astros cap made of recycled plastic bottles to the first 10,000 fans as part of an Earth Day celebration on a night they play the Florida Marlins.

HOUSTON ZOO

The Houston Zoo is celebrating Earth Day on April 24 and 25 with a recycling relay race, an environmental maze and a re-usable giant coloring mural. “Meet the Keeper” talks will feature a conservation message.

ARMAND BAYOU NATURE CENTER

In honor of Earth Day, the Nature Center will waive admission fees on April 25. Guided nature walks led by volunteer naturalists will be held at 2 p.m., and interpretive programs will be offered around the Discovery Trail throughout the afternoon.
